The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund can provide funding for Norwegian students that want to study Italian in Italy. According to the rules and regulations two types of financial support are available for language courses. Funding is only available for language courses if the student attends a university education afterwards, where classes are taught in another language than English.

  1. Preparatory course before applying to university: loan and grants are available for students that need to study Italian before applying for admission to a university in Italy as full-time students. If the student has no intention of attending an Italian university after completing the language course, no funding will be provided for a language course. The language course must be a full-time course i.e. at least 15 hours a week and last for a minimum of 3 months (13 weeks) and maximum 5 months. They must sit for CILS or CELI exam at the end of the language course. They must attend the language course and funding can be provided to attend language schools.

  2. Language grant: a grant (NOK 15,660 / EUR 1,790) is available for a language course if the student is enrolled in an Italian university. Funding will be given to do a language course before starting the first semester. The course must be a full-time course and last for at least four weeks

We offer special prices on language courses and accommodation (when in shared apartment) for students taking part in our full time Italian language courses of minimum 13 weeks duration.

Our language school is a recognized, official CILS EXAMINATION CENTRE, authorized by Unistrasi - University for Foreigners of Siena. All Norwegian students can therefore apply for study grants for enrollment in our Italian language courses in Bologna.
